LETS JUST LET NATURE TAKE ITS COURSE. THIS PAIN SHALL PASS US AND THEN WE CAN ALL USE POSITIVE ENERGY TO PROMOTE CHRIS. WE WON'T GIVE UP. HE'LL SURPASS ANYONE WHO WINS THE COMPETITION. HE WILL HAVE MANY OFFERS COMING HIS WAY. BUT FOR NOW, LETS ALL STICK TOGETHER AND TRY TO HEAL.
WE ARE THE DAUGHTRY GANG AND WE NEED TO BE STRONG FOR THE DAUGHTRY FAMILY. KEEP SENDING YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT. THIS IS A VERY EMOTIONAL TIME FOR CHRIS, DEANNA, HANNA AND GRIFFIN. THEY HAVE BEEN RIDING AN EMOTIONAL ROLLER COASTER FOR MONTHS, THEIR LIVES HAVE BEEN TURNED UPSIDE DOWN AND THEY NEED TIME TO HEAL. MAKE SURE THEY KNOW THAT WE ALL KNOW THAT AMERICA HAS MADE A HUGH MISTAKE.
NOW THAT HIS RIDE ON AI IS OVER THE BASHERS CAN SHUT UP AND HE'LL PROVE TO EVERYONE ONCE AND FOR ALL THAT HE NEVER GOT SPECIAL TREATMENT AND THAT HE IS GOING TO MAKE IT ON HIS OWN.

That's right!!!! When the shock and hurt subsides, determination to see him to the top will be what is left. We've all worked very hard voting passionately for Chris and that same determination is going to be exactly what he needs right now. This is the beginning of new things, as sad as the change can be.

| I can't believe this either, what a joke. Ryan couldn't have been more of a jerk the way he talked Chris up and then told him he was going home..not cool. When you look at this down the road, it actually is a good thing. Once he is done with the idol tour he can do his own thing, which will be awesome! There is no way he won't get a record deal, no way. With some of the absolute crap out there for singers there is no way they are going to let him go. So getting to go home tonight will be a blessing in disguise..trust me! Good luck to you Chris and your wife and kids..but you really don't need it! I can't wait to buy your first CD!! Laura |

| First thanks to stardancer from the american idol boards... that place is chaos. Second.. I am very very dismayed at tonights results. I have many thoughts in my head that i will keep there. You see, I have an autistic son who fell in love with Chris. Hell, Im his father and I love chris... whether it be from being a metal head in my youth or the fact that this guy is just exploding with talent and charisma. Chris is an inspiration.. and i know we are all upset but i truly hope we all remember that this is just the start for Chris... he will go on. |

I initially signed on tonight & posted in another thread as I was just blown away by the result tonight as well. I know tonight will be difficult for Chris & his family but I am very confident that they will have joy around the corner. He will land a contract despite this way wrong result. I know how you are all feeling because I felt the same about Bo last year & cried for 2 days but he is thriving now with a fabulous family & tremendous fanbase well beyond the show. If you look at all the news coming out about this, there is utter shock & awe going on & everyone was positive it was Kat or Elliot going home this evening. And where over 1 performance did a very darkhorse contestant get all this support what seems to have fallen from the sky, thats what I find most suspect tonight.
For the first time in Idol history I actually saw a reaction from Simon that was raw, he was stunned & I think rather ticked. Rest assured that the powers that be in the music industry will not let Chris go home to be bored by any stretch of the imagination. Im very sad tonight along with you as I was totally confident it would be Chris & Taylor in the final & I would have been thrilled with the placement either way...Im going to be a wreck now because if Elliot or FiFi win this thing from leftfield I'll definitely have my doubts about the process & be totally turned off from vesting any time watching another season.

| I was very diappointed when I watched AI last night, but the worst part was watching my 13 year old daughter cry herself to sleep last night. She hasn't had a lot to say to me lately, but being Chris fans brought us close again.I just want to thank Chris for that. We are both so sad. Hopefully we will stay close in anticipation of what Chris does next. We love you Chris!!! |

UP EARLY THIS MORNING,STILL CRYING, CONFIDENT CHRIS WILL GO ON TO A GREAT CONTRACT AND RECORDING CAREER, TOPPING CHARTS. GOOD MORNING AMERICA DID A PIECE ABOUT THE VOTE RESULTS LAST NIGHT. THEY NEVER COVER AI. THEY WERE ALSO SHOCKED AND DIANE SAWYER ALSO SAID HE WILL GO ON TO GREAT THINGS. CHRIS IS ALREADY MAKING THE NATIONL NEWS NETWORKS.

| Chris is a star...He is loved by millions and atleast AI gave him exposure to really jumpstart his career. He is amazing and we all know it. Maybe this will be best for him in the long run... |

CHRIS WAS INTERVIEWED THIS MORNING ON FOX 5 NEW YORK. HE SAID THAT WHEN RYAN SAID HIS NAME IT WAS LIKE THE WORLD STOOD STILL, IT WAS NOT REAL TO HIM. HE SAID THAT HE DID NOT FEEL IT WAS HIS TIME TO GO. HE MENTIONED THAT HE HAS GOTTEN OFFERS, BUT CANNOT DISCUSS THEM RIGHT NOW. I KNOW HE WILL BE ON JAY LENO TONIGHT, THATS CHANNEL 4 IN NY AT 11:30.
I HEAR THAT HE HAS A VERY FULL SCHEDULE THIS WEEK - MANY APPEARANCES.
