I gave them the full story, I also forwarded them the emails from the person pretending to be Chris and asking his fans to vote him off the show, and telling his fans to vote only for Taylor, because he was the best. I know this was a fradulent email and many people recieved it, and asked me about it. I forwarded the emails to American Idol and told them it was a fan of another trying to get Chris fans not to vote for him. The gal at the LA Times was very nice and wanted to help us anyway she could. She said she had many emails and phone calls about this BS!! I also told her about Vote for the Worst, and the many dialing sites out there that were used to illegally vote, and where to find the threads in other fanbases to verify this. I got the impression she felt as though Chris was sabotaged and is doing a story about the reaction of his fans. I also sent her the petition. If there is more than one send to me in email and I will get them to her!!

TheDaughtryGang.com "Home of the Daughtribe, Chrisaders, Daughtrians, and Chrisaholics"--would like the world to know they have not given up on their man. Backed by outraged southern radio stations that say there was trouble with the phone lines on Tuesday night, they are circulating petitions around the Internet demanding 26-year-old rocker Chris Daughtry return to "American Idol" for a re-vote.
"We want a recount," says Tammy Jo, 48, founder of The Daughtry Gang website. "We want him back on the show due to voting issues and that people couldn't get through."

33, 419 people have already signed the Return-Chris-Daughtry-to-the-American-Idol-Competition petition on ThePetitionSite.com. It reads: "Phone lines were messed up most of the night for many people. The overall voting situation is unfair, but ultimately we believe the voting totals were wrong and demand that Chris Daughtry be brought back to the show."
Tammy Jo, who requested her last name not be used, said in a phone call Thursday, she felt like she had been kicked in the stomach when Ryan Seacrest announced on Wednesday night that Daughtry had received the least number of votes and would not be making it into the final three.
"I was passed shocked. I felt like somebody died," she said. "My phone was ringing off the wall, I had 600 emails from the Daughtry Gang screaming 'WHAAAT???' and a good friend of Chris's emailed me wanting to see how we were holding up. Nobody was holding up well."
Kasey Ruiz, 34, from Florida immediately created the MySpace page --"Chris Daughtry Was Robbed" -- when she heard the news. "I also used profanities," she said in a phone interview. "I used profanity pretty loudly, and quite a few people have also used choice words."
Two days later Tammy Jo said, "There are a lot of people with a lot of issues."
For example, she said that many of the people on her message board said they received a phony email from a Chris Daughtry imposter asking his fans not to vote for him. Sent last Sunday, the email reads, ".I Don't Want to Win!!! I NEED to go Now!I don't want this show having creative control over the album I make.I would be home voting for Taylor.I know that if he won, he would never compromise his style for anyone and he is a True Solo Artist."
"I kept telling people don't pay attention to that stuff," said Tammy Jo, "But it's like, did some people read this and believe it?"
Perhaps the hardest blow for Daughtry's fanbase to bear was when the singer insinuated that his fans had grown complacent. Speaking on Ryan Seacrest's radio show on Thursday morning he said, "I think possibly people thought it was a shoe-in and that they didn't have to vote, and that they didn't And you know what? You gotta tell them, if they want somebody to go on they have to vote. That's how important is. You can't expect somebody to vote for you."
"This is devastating the way chris is thinking about his fans. :( im sad." Wrote one user on TheDaughtryGang message boards.
TammyJo also suggested that there may have been some funny business with "The Soul Patrol," Taylor Hicks' fan group. "We call them a cult," she said. "They cheat. They use computer programs to vote -- that whole DialAnIdol thing. We feel duped big time."
"Chris needs to know his fans would not, not vote for him," said Tammy Jo.

TAmmy,,,have you also heard about the phone problems that alot of us were having trying to vote ? Like we would get just dead silence after dialing, or we would get "your call cannot be completed as dialed, please check the number and try again." some got either Kats or Elliots voice when it did answer, or they got a busy signal. I had this problem all night wednesday, as did Pearls and Sven that I know of for sure. I know alot more on here had the same problem,,then Pearls heard or read somewhere that Verizon had investigated this and found that there we a few lines of chris's that werent up and running, or working at all. You may want to tell them this to. He is going to do great with AI,,but yet if there is something going on to where this was done intentionally,,then it needs to be addressed so it doesnt ever happen again,,,and also chris realizes that his fans DID want him to be the next AI.

way to go , thanks for doing that for chris. lets get him as much attention as we possibly can. make lots of noise. don't let this bs go by without a fight. chris deserves all of our support now and always.

| Yes, they emailed me to call them, so I did. They wanted our reaction first off, I told her it was like a death. Then she wanted to know about the petitions and stuff she had heard about. Then I filled her ears. |

| That's great Tammy! We appreciate what you do for us but most of all for Chris. If these allegations are proven true, I think AI should bring Chris back and do another performance night with the four contestants where we can vote again like this week didn't even happen. That's the only fair thing to do. Of course, if someone else is eliminated they will cry "foul" and say we were all big crybabies. |

| I am new here. I joined just Tuesday night, and I have read most of the post about last nights tragedy. I would also like to sign the petition if it is still possible. I agree that Chris will be on to BETTER things, but WRONG is still WRONG. America is the deciding vote, and therefore all of American should be heard!!! |
