I find the numbers deceiving sometimes. HDD says 96K but
Soundscan says 102K. I wonder what the difference is? I
would go to Soundscan but you have to pay to register.
So my total sales could be off by a little.
Still AWESOME tho !!!!!!

Thanks for starting this thread Les and glad the mods stickied it. I had started one similar a while back but it would just keep getting lost every time I would log back on. Better to have someone updating things that is on more frequently than me and can find the info...I was always relying on others for it. So KUDOS and THANKS again!!! :) And I am thrilled to hear the numbers are so awesome! I sorta giggled when I heard "Home" played during idol advertising the official idol website instead of one of Taylors songs...hee hee :)
ETA: Rosie, I believe that would be 2 million copies...for double platinum! ;) |

| If you go to the dialidol site and click on predictions, there's a little box where they're GIVING AWAY Taylor's cd FREE..........they must have so many of those things left over they don't know what to do with them! |

| all i went to walmart there was about 20 daughtry cd,about same for Kat but she had little more,i didn't see any Tay cds anywhere i don't if they took him of there list but i didn't see any |

I believe Soundscan totals are correct rather than HDD. Soundscan is a company that created an electronic system to track every single cd that is scanned while being bought by a customer. It is used to determine Billboard rankings and it includes all sales, including internet sales (ex, amazon). HDD just contacts retailers to get the total sold and add's them up (I think). They are very close to accuracy, but to my understanding, Soundscan is the truly accurate source. (HDD underestimates due to not including internet sales. This is why HDD has Daughtry as #2 on the week that he hit #1 on Billboard). We might have an underestimate going on in this thread, but it's better to undershoot than overshoot, I think. Yay! He is so close to 2 million! :)

The price of subscription isn't even on the soundscan website to I've
got a feelingit's not a small amount. Too bad...I would really like
to see those numbers.
